We loved swimming in the ocean, something that we can't do at home. The ocean was even warmer than the swimming pool! Aden enjoyed taking his little watercouch on the waves, but wouldn't ride in it anymore after the first day we were there. He probably didn't like Darin tossing him in the ocean and having him ride the waves by himself... 
We all went on a dive boat since everyone but me (and the kids) are divers. The plan was that I will go snorkelling when they are done with the dive. It's a 2-tank dive; Darin, Matt & Doug went on the first dive. Karly & I stayed on the boat 
with the kids. On the second dive, Doug & Karly went and the plan was that Darin & I will watch the kids.
he can enjoy the flowers without touching them. It's really hard for a toddler to enjoy anything without touching it, but Aden has been such a trooper and he's been able to 
appreciate flowers by smelling them. It's tempting sometimes, and he does the occassional breaking the rules and tries to touch them. But overall, he's been able to just stop and smell the 
flowers! 
walk around the entire island in 10 minutes! We went snorkelling and saw a lot of awesome fishes. Darin & I went on the first snorkel trip while Doug & Karly watched Aden for us. After lunch, everyone went snorkelling again while I took care of Aden & Tristan. Since I didn't have a waterproof camera, and I was too cheap to buy one (they were selling a disposable one for $60!), I didn't get a lot of pictures on the island since it was raining pretty hard at times. We had a fun time on that trip, the funnest time I've had in the rain.
The day after the sailboat trip, we were booked to go on a river canoeing and a Fijian village tour. I think we were all skeptical about the trip, especially when we found out that it will be a long day. We were picked up at our resorty at 7am and we found out that we have a 3 hour drive ahead of us. Luckily, we ended up with a very cool driver who kept us entertained with history lessons about Fiji and their culture. 
On our 4th day in Fiji, we decided to book a day trip that takes us to Moriki island, where the movie "Castaway" (with Tom Hanks) was filmed at. We're supposed to be able to explore the island and do some snorkelling. Unfortunately, 
the ocean was pretty rough, so the crew decided not to let everyone off the sailboat. They did let those who were interested to jump off the boat and swim around for a bit. Of course my husband did that, along with our friend Matt. The island looked beautiful and it was disappointing not to be able to walk around it. Oh well, at least we got to see it. 
I think most of you know that I LOVE the Dave Matthews Band and I've tried my best to pass that trait to my son (and I think I've succeeded since he now asks to listen to specific Dave songs and knows the song titles!) We decided to buy him a cool guitar in Fiji since he loves guitars. Here's a cool shot of him "jamming" with his friend, Tristan who is an awesome harmonica player! So I decided, to pay tribute to my beloved Dave, when Aden makes it big in rock 'n roll, his band's name will be called "The Aden Dean Anderson Band".
When Darin & I were in Fiji during our honeymoon (2004), we frequented this coffee shop and it became our favorite spot. It's located in another resort (Sheraton Fiji), fairly close to ours, about a 5 minute walk. We were looking forward to going there again, not just for the coffee, but to relive the days we spent there 3 years ago. We were surprised when we got there and saw that there's now a bunch of toys and play structures outside the coffee shop. It's not only our special place, it's Aden's too!
